ONI SOFUBI

Concept:
This project stems from a first approach to 3d with Zbrush for ipad. I wanted to make a Sofubi that drew on the world of the Oni: mythological creatures from Japanese folklore, similar to Western demons or ogres. Oni are normally described as giant, monstrous creatures with sharp claws, wild hair, and two long horns growing from their heads.

Design:
My model makes fun of the classical imagery and
becomes an irreverent little demon with small horns and no hair. The green Oni symbolizes laziness, the choice of color goes hand in hand with the mood of my character.

Packaging Design:
I worked on the packaging with the goal of creating a design that reflects the art of Sofubi, paying attention to every detail to highlight the figure of the Oni. I chose illustrations and colors that evoke Japanese culture, creating packaging that is not only functional but also a visual element capable of enhancing the collector's experience.
