KRAMPUS TOY
Project
A hypothetical toy positioned halfway between a collectible art toy and a promotional plaything. The idea is to create an object that is expressive, decorative, and playable at the same time.
The central figure is a 3D plush inspired by the folklore character Krampus, designed to appeal both to design and toy collectors, and to a wider, younger audience.

What is Krampus?
Krampus was born from a personal project: it is the concept of a toy for children that makes fun of adults.
In folklore, the Krampus is a horned, anthropomorphic figure described as a “half-goat, half-devil” who punishes the “bad guys” during the Christmas holidays. The choice to make a Krampus is to “vindicate naughty children” A provocation, what concerns them does not have to be sweetened: toys, as well as reality, can be frightening and even repulsive.
Stylistic Research:
When I thought of Krampus I had “Gremlins” in mind. I drew a lot from the imagery of 80s Puppet movies and toys like, “ Goblins, the Madeballs, I Might max, My pet monster...” all those toys that have a reference to the horror and grotesque of those years.
Krampus Toy Concept and Development:
I managed the entire design process: from concept development to character definition, including illustration, 3D sculpting, and full visual development. I also took care of all graphic elements in detail, treating the project as if it were a real product intended for market release complete with packaging design, branding, and promotional materials.
