Coltivarsi was born from a personal project developed during university.
A collection of texts accompanied by etchings made in drypoint on plexiglass and etching; later brought to print.
The theme is the outsider: we trace the story of a woman who is begotten from a grassy womb: a fusion of the female reproductive organ and nature. We follow her journey of coming out of the womb to knowing the other.
The illustrations capture the conflict between curiosity and fear: the protagonist experiences emotional paralysis, unable to move between her desire to explore and her fear of the unknown. Gradually, this fear turns into acceptance, and the stranger becomes a part of herself.
